Definedge, a Pune-based fintech and brokerage firm, has raised Rs 22 crore (approximately $2.3 million) in a pre-Series A round, bringing its total funding to date to Rs 30 crore (about $3.1 million). The round, announced September 22, 2026, included continuing investors Nitin Agarwal and D. Prasad alongside new backers Anant Jain and Sachin Kasera.
Founded in 2021 by Prashant Shah and Rajesh Badiye, Definedge operates a full-stack wealth-tech ecosystem of more than 14 platforms for retail traders and investors, including the Opstra options analytics terminal, the Zone trading platform, the no-code algorithmic trading platform Algostra, the wealth creation platform Momentify, and the Gurukul learning ecosystem. Momentify has surpassed Rs 1,000 crore in assets under management and is targeting Rs 5,000 crore within 24 months, while the company says its overall user base has grown 125 percent over the past 14 months.
The new capital will fund technology infrastructure and low-latency execution capabilities, along with scaling Zone and Opstra, expanding Algostra, and building out Momentify and Gurukul. The raise reflects continued investor appetite for platforms serving India's fast-growing base of self-directed retail traders, a market wealth management platforms and advisors globally are watching as it matures toward broader wealth services.
