European AI D2C advice firm comes out of stealth
Barbosa, V. (2026, November 5). The story of Haido. Haido. https://www.haido.com/blog
Haido, an acronym for "How am I doing?", is a UK personal finance product whose one promise is to let people know how they are doing by talking to all of their money via responsible AI.
Co-founder and CEO Veronique Barbosa was employee 4 at Revolut, founded receipt-data company Flux, and later joined Monzo, and she is building Haido with co-founder Tom Reay and a senior team from Monzo, Deliveroo, Twitter, JustEat and Teller.
Citing the Lloyds Consumer Digital Index, the post says 28 million UK adults used AI to help manage their money in the past year, while an FT-reported study of 18 AI models found they got personal finance questions wrong 57% of the time.
Barbosa argues that "this is not financial advice" does not excuse unevaluated, incorrect answers, and says Haido makes every number traceable to its source and tests answers against evaluations designed by qualified professionals.
