RIA Compliance Technology released new guidance titled "How a Strong Compliance Program Becomes Your Firm's Competitive Advantage in the Slow Seasons," addressing how compliance technology can strengthen a registered investment adviser's compliance program and support business growth.
The guidance holds that purpose-built technology can consolidate compliance tasks, deadlines, approvals, policy acknowledgments, communication records, and employee trade oversight into a single organized system.
It notes that many RIAs spread compliance work across spreadsheets, shared drives, email threads, and individual memory, which makes the work feel like overhead rather than a business improvement.
Blake Bjordahl, President of RIA Compliance Technology, said a compliance program becomes more useful when firm leaders can easily see what has been done and find the records they need.
The Kitces Report, Volume 1, 2025 assigned RIA compliance technology an importance score of 8.4 and found that advisers are willing to invest in compliance tools that simplify required processes, particularly as firms add employees.
The same report identified RIA Compliance Technology as an emerging provider and gave it a category-leading 8.7 satisfaction rating as a stand-alone technology-only solution.
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Arizona, the company offers modular products including Simple Compliance Portal, Simple Email Archive, and Simple Trade Monitor, and serves more than 400 registered investment advisers, compliance consulting firms, and broker-dealers in the United States and internationally.
