Mercer Advisors, the Denver-based national wealth manager with $114 billion in client assets, has acquired Fifteenth, an AI-native tax and accounting firm, the company announced on November 5, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed. Fifteenth's tax professionals, many from Big Four and other leading firms, and its AI-focused technologists are joining Mercer Advisors.
Fifteenth runs a proprietary platform built for equity compensation and complex tax situations, pairing annual tax preparation with year-round planning around stock option exercises, tender offers, liquidity events and multi-entity filings. Its tools serve more than 1,000 professionals, with a strong following among Silicon Valley technology employees. The firm is led by co-founders Ankur Dahiya, CEO, and Laura Moreno, Chief Tax Officer. Mercer Chief Platform Officer Cynthia Loh said the integration should meaningfully expand the capacity of Mercer's tax team.
The deal fits the Family Office as-a-Service theme, in which large RIAs compete by offering more services rather than just serving more clients. Mercer said more than half of incoming ultra-high-net-worth clients want tax capabilities as part of a unified offering, and it expects tax professionals to make up about one in eight of its employees by the end of 2026, up from about one in ten. Fifteenth's equity compensation focus also lets Mercer engage clients earlier, before a sale, IPO or other liquidity event. For advisors and platforms, it is another sign that tax is becoming a core part of the wealth relationship, with technology helping deliver it at scale.
